Helping Our
Heroes is a program sponsored by the RANWC Charitable Foundation dedicated to
raising money to help active duty Illinois Military Personnel, Veterans,
Firemen/Women, and Policemen/Women with residential-related expenses due to
their financial distress.
Salute America's Heroes

The
Coalition to Salute America's Heroes was created to provide a way for
individuals, corporations and others to support our troops by helping severely
wounded and disabled Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom
veterans and their families rebuild their lives.
VFW - Military Assistance

The three main
efforts of the VFW Military Services department are,
the Military Assistance Program (MAP),
Operation Uplink, and
Unmet Needs.
Each program has a focus of support,
MAP
has helped fund Farewell and Welcome Home gatherings for military units
worldwide. Operation Uplink provides free, pre-paid phone cards to service
members. Unmet Needs can give a one-time grant up to $2,500 for qualifying
service members and their families experiencing financial hardship.
